<p><em>July 8, 2011 – Lakeland, Florida</em> – The sale of Crispers LLC, a Florida-based, fast casual restaurant chain has been finalized between Fresh Alternatives, LLC and Publix Super Markets. Crispers, founded in 1989, operate 36 locations throughout Florida, serving fresh salads, soups and sandwiches.</p>
<p>“The sale of Crispers to Fresh Alternatives marks an exciting new chapter in the evolution of the Crispers brand,” stated Crispers CEO Ron Fuller. “It allows for us to streamline our efforts to solely focus on being your dining destination of choice.”</p>
<p>Through this acquisition, Crispers parts ways with Publix Super Markets who purchased Crispers in 2007.  As a thank you to all those Publix employees that supported Crispers over the years, Crispers will be offering a 10% discount to all Publix employees who wish to dine at any Crispers location.</p>
<p>In addition, Crispers announces “Friends Eat Free” Day on August 15<sup>th</sup> 2011 to emphasize the loyalty to the patrons who have supported the Crispers brand throughout the years. Fuller stated, “We want our valued customers to introduce our restaurants to their friends.  Bring in a friend and they will eat FREE.”</p>

<p><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-7070" title="bunme" src="http://bendelanoy.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/bunme.jpg" alt="" width="320" height="180" />The Crispers location in Brandon will also feature a full-service dinner setting and menu to include new “Small Plates” with Baked Crab Artichoke Dip, Thai Chicken Skewers, Fireworks Shrimp Cocktail, Seared Ahi Tuna Sliders, Hummus with Grilled Naan Bread and Baked French Onion Soup, “Crisper Signatures” with the aforementioned Vietnamese Bun Me Roasted Pork Sandwich, Asian Foldovers, and the Paradise Beach Cobb Salad, “New Entrees” including Garlic Prawns, Vegetarian Lasagna, and Ying and Yang BBQ Pork Tenderloin, and an offering of “Grilled Sandwiches” which introduce a new Top Shelf Roast Beef, a Fresh Mozzarella, and a high-end Grilled Cheese with Pepper Bacon.</p>
<p>“Our customers are the driving force behind our business, and we wish to provide them with the best experience possible,” said Crispers CEO Ron Fuller. “The full service dining experience and menu expands the Crispers traditional fast-casual offering and allows our patrons to unwind after a long-day and enjoying one of our new dinner menu items.”</p>
<p>The full-service offering for dinner adds a new dimension to the Crispers experience by providing a casual sit-down dining experience which allows for the customer to be waited upon in soft lit atmosphere and enjoy the ambience while watching one of Crispers three newly installed televisions at this location. Crispers will be adding a Wine &amp; Beer menu to compliment the new dinner initiative in the near future at this Brandon location.</p>

<p>Enduring the 100+ degree heat and crazy fans camped out in Orlando for the Shinedown’s Carnival of Madness Tour, I had the opportunity to sit down (because at this point we counldn’t stand) with Geffen recording artist Puddle of Mudd. After being kidnapped by Puddle of Mudd via Paintball gun, Southern Comfort, and lager….here is how the encounter went down:</p>
<p><strong>BD: </strong>Where did you guys meet?</p>
<p><strong>Paul Phillips </strong>(guitar): We all officially met kinda in LosAngeles, he (Wes Scantlin) was out there with Fred (Durst) and I’ve known Fred from up the road inJacksonville; and he said we’ve got this band that needed a guitar player. Later on we met Ryan (drummer) inLos Angeles, and we didn’t hump (ever), and …so yea. There you go.</p>
<p>Just all the stars aligned and uh,  caused a meeting of the minds, and music was created in a cauldron of love.</p>
<p><strong>BD: </strong>So what’s the most embarrassing thing that ever happened to you guys?</p>
<p><strong>Paul Phillips: </strong>Pretty much every interview I do with Wes.</p>
<p><strong>Wes Scantlin </strong>(vocals/guitar)<strong>:</strong> I don’t know why you’re here.</p>
<p><strong>BD: </strong>When you first went on tour, what city did you most want to visit?</p>
<p><strong>Wes Scantlin: </strong>Amsterdam</p>
<p><strong>BD: </strong>What’s your favorite album that you guys put out?</p>
<p><strong>Paul Phillips: </strong>That’s tough because I like bits of all of them, that’s tough, that’s a hard one. I guess obviously, sales-wise ‘<em>Come Clean’</em> , but artistically I always liked ‘<em>Life On Display’.</em></p>
<p><strong>Wes Scantlin: </strong><em>(sarcastically)</em> Actually, the next album is the best one…the one we’re working on right now.</p>
<p><strong>BD: </strong><em>Spaceship</em>, was that the first choice for the single or did you have another?</p>
<p><strong>Paul Phillips: </strong>We all liked it. It was kinda split between Spaceship and Stoned…we have a lot of cooks in the kitchen besides the band so it was a decision.</p>
<p><strong>BD: </strong>What sports teams do you guys follow?</p>
<p><strong>Paul Phillips: </strong>Not a big sports fan, but obviously if the Jaguars are playing I hope they would win. I’ll watch it…but I would ask people afterward if they won or not. Can we go Orlando Magic? We follow the Magic.</p>
<p><strong>BD:</strong> If you could be any athlete, who would it be?<strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong>Wes Scantlin: </strong>I’m gonna go Spud Webb, dude. I’m like 5 feet tall and I can still slam dunk. Hell Yea.</p>
<p><strong>Paul Phillips: </strong>I feel like this is a trick question….I would go with Manute Bol, I would be the tallest player and Wes the shortest player and we could be best friends.</p>
<p><strong>Ryan Yerdon </strong>(drummer): I would be Dennis Rodman so I could just party. I choose wisely…you guys think about the actual sport, I think about the extracurricular activities like Carmen Electra.</p>
<p><strong>BD: </strong>So what’s next for Puddle?</p>
<p><strong>Wes Scantlin: </strong>We ‘re gonna write another record and we’re gonna take care of our families. We’re gonna love on our women, gonna eat some awesome food, and uh…we’re not getting drunk btw. Yea, that’s awesome.</p>
<p><strong>BD: </strong>What question do you hate most that interviewers ask?</p>
<p><strong>Wes Scantlin: </strong>(<em>intimidated j/k</em>)<strong> </strong>Nothing really, we got used to everything so we really don’t care anymore. Everyone always asks us, “What’s going on, what’s on the horizon and shit?”</p>
<p><strong>BD: </strong>What’s some of the craziest stuff you guys have put on your riders for a show?</p>
<p><strong>Wes Scantlin:</strong> I got (2) CO2 tanks right now with paint balls, and that’s the craziest shit that I can come up with. I got my son out here with me right now, so we’re ordering all sorts of weird shit. We’ve got our Chihuahua out here with us….this is Francis (<em>proudly displays dog</em>), he hangs…he’s pretty cool.</p>
<p><strong>BD:</strong> If you guys had one band that you followed the most first starting out, who would it be?</p>
<p><strong>Wes Scantlin:</strong> I would have to go with Pantera, Metallica, and Nirvana.</p>
<p><strong>Ryan Yerdon: </strong>(<em>Chimes in</em>) Lionel Richie, Dire Straits, Steve Winwood, Wham…remember that name….Steve Winwood. Huge influence. (laughter)</p>

<p><strong>Park Lane</strong>: Italy on tour with Exilia.</p>
<p><strong>Ben Delanoy</strong>: What’s the one thing you cannot live without while on tour?</p>
<p><strong>Park Lane</strong>: Beef Jerky. We eat a lot of beef jerky since we’re always in the van.</p>
<p><strong>Ben Delanoy</strong>: Craziest thing that ever happened to you onstage?</p>
<p><strong>Park Lane</strong>: Got hit in the head with the bass a couple of times.</p>
<p><strong>Ben Delanoy</strong>: Most embarrassing?</p>
<p><strong>Park Lane</strong>: Clayton (bassist) fell off stage. It was pretty funny.</p>
<p><strong>Ben Delanoy</strong>: You didn’t try and save him?</p>
<p><strong>Park Lane</strong>: Nah, we just let him go.</p>
<p><strong>Ben Delanoy</strong>: What are some of your favorite bands?</p>
<p><strong>Park Lane</strong>: Metallica, As I Lay Dying, it varies….goes from Death Metal to Jazz, Iron Maiden</p>
<p><strong>Ben Delanoy</strong>: What’s the worst song you ever heard?</p>
<p><strong>Park Lane</strong>: No comment. The band Rose Tattoo really sucks, yea Rose Tattoo, they are bad.</p>
<p><strong>Ben Delanoy</strong>: What’s the most unbelievable rumor every printed about Park Lane?</p>
<p><strong>Park Lane</strong>: That we broke up, when we just were looking for a new member.</p>
<p><strong>Ben Delanoy</strong>: If you could be one athlete, who would you be and why?</p>
<p><strong>Park Lane</strong>: Jeff Garcia, he is actually my cousin. He is a really great, down to earth guy!</p>
